GENERAL INFORMATION AND AIM

Holy Family School, Farakka, West Bengal is an English medium Co - educational School conducted by the Sisters of the congregation of the Holy Family. It is governed by the Poreyahat Holy Family Society which is a Religious and Charitable Organization Registered under the Society Registration Act. 1860.

Holy Family Sisters run several schools in India in which young people belonging to every creed, social class, community and linguistics group are educated through the medium of English and the regional languages. These institutions are part of Catholic Church's effort to share in the country's educational understanding. This effort, while particularly responsible to the Christian Community has always been at the service of the whole nation. Established on 3rd July 1997, the school is staffed by dedicated, competent and highly qualified Sisters and Teachers who create and foster the ethos for the all-round growth and progress of students. The school is affiliated to the COUNCIL FOR THE INDIAN SCHOOL CERTIFICTATE EXAMINATION (CISCE) Board New Delhi 2006. Holy Family School aims every student with the strength and depth of character that enables him/ her to face the fiercely competitive society of today with ease and confidence. The institution has a holistic approach to education where by the Scholastic performance of the pupil is reinforced by Holy Family ideals of universal brotherhood, love, peace, joy and kindness in which the school explicitly believes. 4. To provide an education of quality and relevance to all in particular to the marginalized - poor, oppressed, the side - tracked, women and children and to bring them to the main stream of the society and thus to empower them with the realization of their humanity and integrity.
